MEET CHRISTIAN
As your Council Member, Christian will put her experience to work for you and our neighborhoods. Christian will keep you informed, make sure your voice is heard, and make effective policies on the issues that matter: community safety, healthy housing people can afford, safe safe streets and sidewalks, and fine and fee reform.

Christian believes the government should work FOR the people it represents. She will inform you of important decisions being made that will impact the 5th District, work with you to identify and address priorities for your neighborhood, and make sure your voice is heard during decision-making. PRIORITIES
FINE AND FEE REFORM
For too long, Wilmington has been using fines and fees - like parking tickets! - in order to generate revenue. Fines and fees should be about enforcing regulations and paying for services, not generating revenue. Using fines and fees to generate revenue is inefficient and shifts the burden of paying for city services onto people who have the least ability to pay. Christian will work to make sure Wilmington's budgeting process is fair, efficient, and sustainable. LEARN MORE.

HEALTHY HOUSING PEOPLE CAN AFFORD
All families deserve a safe and healthy home they can afford. Christian has worked in housing and community development for over 25 years. She will use her experience to make fair and effective policies to improve our housing, address affordability, bring vacant properties back into use, and expand homeownership.
COMMUNITY SAFETY
The 5th District is facing challenging issues like homelessness, vacant properties, addiction and crime. Christian knows we need long-term solutions that involve many levels of government working in partnership with our community. As your Council member, Christian will lead in bringing people and resources together. She will bring her experience engaging people, community-based organizations, and all levels of government to work together to stabilize our neighborhoods and save lives.
STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND PARKS
We need to make our streets and sidewalks safe and beautify our parks so our communities are good places to live and raise our families. Christian knows what it takes to involve residents in the design of big projects and how to use planning and the levers of government to make them a reality. She will work with you to complete community-driven projects to restore the public spaces of the city we love.
