To Drive Positive Changes

The 5th District needs an effective Council Member - a Council Member ready, willing, and able to bring people together and get things done. As your Council Member, I will build on a 10-year track record of getting people to think big and work together to make positive change a reality.

To Advocate for You

I care about the same things you do - safe streets, great parks, fair and effective government, quality housing, and thriving local businesses. As your Council Member, you can count on me to voice your concerns, advocate for your interests, and get results that continue to make our neighborhoods better.

To Bring Effective Partnerships

As your Council Member, I will work hard for progress with the same thoughtful, friendly, and can-do approach you have come to expect from me. You will see me at neighborhood meetings eager to hear what matters to you. I will then identify and drive civic and business partnerships to address our needs.

A Committed and Engaged Resident

I have lived in the 5th District since 2009. Over this time, my family and I have championed and participated in many activities to make the 5th District and Wilmington a great place to live for all residents.

I serve on the Board of Directors of Wells Fargo Regional Foundation, Todmorden Foundation, and Freire Charter School Wilmington. I am the proud recipient of community service awards from the Wilmington Renaissance Corporation and Delaware Center for Horticulture. I am also a member of the New Castle County Housing Advisory Board and serve as Co-President of the Rodney Reservoir Community Garden.

An Experienced Community Advocate and Developer

I have spent the last 10 years applying my skills and experience in community and economic development to make Wilmington’s neighborhoods better places to live, raise a family, and run a business.

Revitalizing Neighborhoods

As part of Cornerstone/West End Neighborhood House, I organized residents, houses of worship, and community organizations to launch West Side Grows. For six years, I worked with many of you to clean up our neighborhoods, expand opportunities for youth, re-design streets, build and renovate affordable housing, create community gardens, and renovate playgrounds.

Creating Better Housing Choices

As the first Executive Director of the Wilmington Land Bank, I worked with residents to create programs that reflected community needs and put Wilmington’s vacant properties back into use. One key program, the Homesteading Program, enabled residents to purchase vacant properties to renovate for home-ownership. Another impactful program, the Urban Agriculture Program, provided a way for community groups to lease vacant land to build community gardens.

Supporting Community Advocates

Today, I help non-profit organizations throughout Wilmington secure the funding and professional services they need to achieve their mission. I started my small business in 2018 to help other community-based organizations succeed. In 2019, I helped raise more than $2.5 million for youth services and community development programs.

Better Housing

We need smart, forward-thinking policies that increase home ownership, protect property values, hold landlords accountable and put vacant properties back into productive use. I’ve been working on these issues for more

Safer Streets

Wilmington is facing an epidemic of gun violence. As your Council Member, I will work for an all-hands-on-deck approach to improving public safety, including effective law enforcement based on partnership with more

Efficiency and Fairness

From parking tickets to utilities and public services, our City systems can be frustrating, inefficient and sometimes unfair. We need systems that work for residents, not against them. As your Council Member, I will identify the more

Local Business Support

Small businesses are the engine of economic growth in our City. Wilmington needs to do more to help small business owners succeed and help neighborhood business districts thrive. As your Council Member, I will work to eliminate more

Parks Renovation

We are lucky that our neighborhoods have great parks and public spaces, but many of our parks and public spaces are in need of maintenance and renovation. As your Council Member, I will work with you to identify a vision for more
